Welcome to Hoppy Trees

Hoppy Trees is a welcoming, family friendly bar, featuring local craft beer, wine, cider, spritz cocktails, and some top shelf liquors, along with local artwork featured on the walls, in a relaxing space for family and friends to gather and unwind. We are located in the charming Main Street area of Weaverville in the back corner of the historic Shope’s Furniture building. Artistic workshop classes may be offered in our private room, which is also available for small group rental for friend gatherings, book clubs, etc. E-Mail – HoppyTreesBar@gmail.com for details.

Dogs allowed outside only, on a leash. (Officially documented ADA service animals allowed inside). Thank You for understanding. We love dogs!, but for many reasons, our furry friends must remain outside after ordering.

ABOUT THE OWNER

Paul making a Spritz

A quick word from owner, Paul Carielli:

I’ve always loved “America’s beloved happy tree painter” so I thought a cool and unique business name / idea that connected to that would be Hoppy Trees. The artistic vibe with art on the walls connects to the local area art scene and to Bob, of course, while “Hoppy” connects to the craft beer element and a play on words for Bob’s iconic “Happy Trees”, while the relaxing, chill vibe that Bob embodied, connects to the history of the Spritz, which embodies the same relaxing culture. I’m enjoying sharing this drink with patrons and people that haven’t experienced one yet. They are refreshing while not being overly heavy on the alcohol content nor being too sweet. It is truly the perfect drink to sit back and relax.

A little more about me… I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley area of New York. It’s about an hour north of NYC. I moved to Asheville in Nov. 2011 then I went back to New York for three years before finally returning to Asheville in 2016. I love the mountains, the views, and the perfect four season weather here. I also love the snow, (Just not shoveling a foot of it all winter). I fell in love with this town of Weaverville after purchasing a condo here in 2019. It’s such a friendly, charming town that has plenty of places to shop, eat and drink. I love taking walks around the neighborhoods that are tucked right behind Main Street.

I also look forward to giving back to the community with a variety of charitable efforts in the days to come. Being able to contribute is very important to me and I enjoy the feeling of helping out and being part of this amazing community. I can’t wait to meet you all! Come by and see me at Hoppy Trees. Thank you for all of the support thus far and in the future!, Paul
